The 2011 Celebration of Life is this Saturday, September 10th, 5:30 pm @ Lakeside Ballroom in Guttenberg, IA ! Join in honoring Michael Clinton and Scott Nelson while raising money for the Clayton Ridge Music Boosters.
Plan on great music, beginning at 5:30 pm  and fabulous raffle and silent auction items.

Guttenberg, IA – Come get your German Groove On at Germanfest!

Guttenberg is celebrating its 21st Annual Germanfest on Friday evening September 23rd and Saturday September 24th, concluding with a German church service on Sunday September 25th.
In the 1840’s, German immigrants settled in Guttenberg.  Many of our limestone buildings reflect this heritage and over 70 buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Walking tours are available.

The weather is going to clear off and warm up this afternoon.  Movie starts at dusk or about 8:30 p.m.  This family-friendly activity is brought to you by the generousity of Jim and Sue Osterhaus, Jack & Linda Benskin, Fidelity Bank, and the City of Guttenberg.  Get out of the house and enjoy our beautiful park along the banks of the Mississippi!

Guttenberg Development and Tourism is so excited to announce our first concert in the park coming up this Friday night in the band shell.

Guttenberg Park  Bandshell:
Starting at 6:30p.m. Chad Elliott

Bonus! Bonita Crowe, female vocalist, will be accompanying Chad on his One Horse Town Tour this year.

Elliot will be entertaining you with his original songs as well as some of your country favorites.

Chad is a talented singer/guitarist/harmonicist; this is his third visit to Guttenberg from Council Bluffs, IA.  You will remember that Chad played for us last summer in the band shell and also gave the introductory songs for our Peace Through Corn dinner theater.

Come out and enjoy an evening by the river listening to music that reminds us of a simpler time.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket to the band shell area.
