OK I GOT TO VENT NOW
i've seen a @#$%load of live music in the last year. seen some VERY talented bands. all playing cover songs just the way the original artists did. and thats cool, but i want to see a HARD ROCK'N BAND playing the covers with distorted guitars, maybe shaking up the way they play them, put in a couple of kick-ass originals!!!!
we NEED a "BAD ASS" band in the area, that just @#$%ing rocks the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

was at the "brick city bar & grill" a couple of weeks ago on a friday night. had the fish on my mind, but looked at the special board and saw salmon with lobster sauce. now i'm not a big salmon fan, i can remember when i was a kid, now i'm not saying how long ago that was, but believe me it's been a few years, mom making salmon patties out of a can, and maybe not removing all the cartilage out of it, and the patties had a wierd flavor and were crunchy.
i didn't order the salmon, but i was talking to a couple that did, and this guy lived in the northwest and ate salmon freshly caught, and said it compared to that, and he said the lobster sauce was excellant!!!! so if you are into salmon, you need to check it out!!!

finally ate the fish at "brick city bar and grill" in clermont. went down with a "friend" of mine and she got the fried cod and i got the bluegill. now i was VERY IMPRESSED that someone in ne iowa had bluegill on the menu!!!! alot of places in wi have that, but this is the first time i seen it west of the mississippi river!!!! the bluegill was very good, about eight pieces, very tastey, but the cod was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! fried just right with a thin batter, good fish, no gray matter in it, all white meat!!!! fries burnt the way i like em, small salad bar, but very fresh items on it, and the ITALIAN SALAD was kick @#$!!!!
heard that the 'LONGBRANCH BAR" is open again in west union, they always were famous for thier friday nite fish fry. next i'll try them out and see who has the best fish in this ne corner of fayette county!!!!!!!

got the A.Y.C.E. chix and fish from the "skip away" resort a couple of weeks ago. got to say it was very good, i've had the chix before, and know that is good, but the fish was very good too. ordered french fries, burnt as usual, and they were done right, the salad bar was usual ne iowa salad bar, but plenty of it. if you want to get filled up on a friday night, u can't go wrong with this place!!!!!
