The daily specials are anything but typical and are the culinary creations of Chef Johnson.  This day’s specials list included: Broiled Salmon served with a sun dried pesto cream sauce, Blackened Scallops au saffron buerre blanc and Fillet au poivre, peppered steak in a butter sauce. The operators want customers to expect something unique each time they visit the restaurant.

Where fine dining meets country cooking, Patrons will find the standard steak, chicken, ribs and seafood options.  But then on closer examination the pursuer of fine dining will be pleased to see a unique pasta and stir fry section on the menu.  In addition, scrutinizers will be intrigued by a House Steak, described as “mouth watering 8oz tender chuck steak marinated in pepper and Burgundy served just the way you want it.” All dinners are served with a choice of potato, soup and salad bar.  The salad bar is very complete with finer touches and an extensive choice of tasty salads.

Owners Rick and Brenda Trudo have a lot going for them at the Riverview.  The Mississsippi River flows right past this scenic eatery and the scene is gorgeous.  Next, the food their hard working team  serves is perfect.  Known for their famous Crocoburger a 1/2lb hamburger topped with tomato, lettuce, onion and mushroom. The seafood selections are excellent try shrimp, cod or frog legs. Yet the house special is spaghetti and meatballs.

Owned by the warm and friendly Elaine Biermann this place is famous for their Thursday Night Taco Night and Summer Months Whole Hog Roasts. Almost everybody has stopped into the Osterdock Store on Thursday for Taco Night! Open everyday at 10 AM a full menu is always available. A spacious dining area great for family dining. Breakfast, lunch or dinner visitors  always count on good home cooked meals and homemade pie for dessert.
Friday and Saturday Features are Ribeyes, Alaskan Walleye and Cod. The Osterdock Store is also the home of the Sounds of Nashville. Wedneday Night is Oven Baked Chicken Night.  Closed on Tuesdays

Famous for their steaks, this snazzy boating theme menu is complete with great appetizers, baskets, six burger choices and fifteen sandwiches.  The kid’s menu is very child friendly and the menu provides a very appealing and affordable senior citizens menu. Drive north on Hwy 35 one mile north of Cabela’s. Turn left on Limery Rd and take a right at the first stop sign.  Go about three blocks, and The Barn is on the right.
Drive in or sail in But come in to enjoy fine dining in a rustic atmosphere. (NO ties!)  The Barn is surrounded with antique and collectibles inside and spectacular scenery outside.  The staff at the Barn is exemplary. Open Tuesday through Sunday 5 PM to Close.  Sunday Champagne Brunch is offered 10-1. Excellent spot for large receptions.

Tom (Bomber) & Lori Irish are long time owners of this very popular eatery and bar.  This is the place to go for a great meal. Their “O’Tuesday” Mexican Food Night has people coming from miles away every week.  They come by boat, car, bike you name it to get their ‘ O Tuesday Fix (Huge Soft Shell Taco, Seafood Enchilada, Fajita’s, Beef Burrito, Jumbo Hard Shell Taco, Nachos Deluxe or Chicken Enchilada.)  Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will feature either Steak, Chicken or Shrimp. However, The Luck O the Irish is most famous across the entire Driftless region as the home of the best Saturday Night, mouth watering  Prime Rib ever. If the featured item is not what you want this place has a wonderful sandwich and basket menu. They believe in old fashioned values and treat their guests the same way.  When you walk through the door, the Boike’s want you to feel at home enjoying delicious home cooked food, pastries and specialty desserts.  Famous for the largest salad bar in Northeast Iowa.
