Mike McAbee will play at Lakeside Ballroom, in Guttenberg, on Friday August 19th from 8:30pm till 1:30am. Mike McAbee has been entertaining crowds all over Northeast Iowa for several years. This humble, humorous and talented singer, songwriter puts on a terrific show.
Musician & stand up comedian Mike McAbee will kick of the 2011 Rhythm on the River Concert Series this Friday night, June 24th, in Keystone Park, downtown Elkader at 5:30pm .

This FREE concert series is always a hit for the Friday night after work crowd and this Friday night will be no exception. The Main Street Elkader, Promotion committee was thrilled when McAbee accepted their invitation to open the annual concert series.

The crowd is welcome to bring their own food and beverages to the park. Main Street Elkader will provide free popcorn and lemonade.
This past October, local songwriter, recording artist and performer Mike McAbee, of Frankville, IA, recorded a CD at the Elkader Opera House. For me, Mike’s concert was one of the most entertaining shows I watched this year at the Elkader Opera House. (more…)

Mike McAbee sings and tells jokes in bars, at private parties and on stages throughout the upper Mississippi River Valley. He claims two towns as home, Frankville, Iowa and Stevens Point WI. Born in Dodgeville, WI he is the son of Roger and SuAnn Mcabee. He has one sister, Dawn and a son, Abe.
He is a “professional” musician and comic, meaning he has made the deliberate and, as he defines it, “pragmatic” decision to give up his career as a trucker and to put on shows three times a week. McAbee, an accomplished songwriter, puts on quite a different show. He likes to play what he describes as lyrically driven songs.
