The Elkader Cinema begins it run of the Academy Award nominated film, True Grit today, Friday Jan 28th. According to Lee Akin owner of the Elkader Cinema, True Grit has been nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay!

The Osterdock Store owned and operated by the wonderfully gracious Elaine Bierman, has added a salad bar to their monthly, Prime Rib Dinner nights. They added the salad bar on New Year’s Eve and the crowd loved it. Prime Rib is on the Osterdock Store’s menu this Saturday, January 29th and then again on the Saturday Feb 12th for their big Valentine’s Celebration.

The Sandbar in Lansing has added some new burgers to their lineup including a Jack Daniel’s Burger!

And speaking of burgers Cafe Rose’ has now serving burgers and has homemade hot soup available daily.

Tonight is Game Show Night at the Lone Wolf and their January Karaoke Contest finale is set for tomorrow night Jan 29th. $2000 in prizes will be awarded.
